Golfers Compete in D-2 Pre-Regional Event @ Island Hills G.C. in Centerville

The Northwest Boys’ Golf Team competed in the D-2 Pre-Regional Event at Island Hills Golf Course in Centerville, Michigan on Monday finishing tied for 5^th with a team score of 314.  Gull Lake finished with the low round of the day with a 301.  Next was Western posting 305 led by a 66 from their number one player, Andrew Boldt.

The Mounties were led by Cody Rowe who carded a two over par 74 and Jake Brafford with a 75.  Fellow juniors, Jarrett Osterberg and Mason Beecher each posted an 83 for the team score.  Also playing well for the Mounties was Riley Banks, who finished with an 85.

“The course has some uniquely challenging holes that are tight with sloped greens,” said Coach, Martha Cantlin. “We feel like we can still compete for a spot in the State Tournament next week at the Regional if we clean up a few little things.”
